Chestnut Bark Crook

The shepherd's crook is a must-have accessory for countryside ramblers and hikers. A versatile tool, it is still used in traditional sheep farming today, but also makes for a great general walking aid for rustic environments. 

The Chestnut Bark Crook is an authentic shepherd's crook which is handmade using traditional coppicing techniques. Available in a range of lengths, it is equally suited to use as a decorative or a working item.

Handmade Heritage

This rustic chestnut crook is not just made, it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots which grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.

Rustic Appearance

This stick is made from light yet strong chestnut wood with the bark left on for a particularly rustic and traditional appearance. Fantastic for country jaunts, the Chestnut Bark Crook can complete any outdoorsman's outfit.

More for gentlemen than a lady's walking stick

Bought for my elderly mum in her 90's and it is a fairly chunky 'masculine' looking stick, so returned as not suitable. Wanted a more lightweight slim walking stick.
