Juvenile chronic arthritis is the swelling and inflammation of a joint (or more than one) that first occurs before your 16th birthday. It is more common in pre-school age children and is slightly more common in girls rather than boys. There are various types of juvenile chronic arthritis and a number of symptoms that should be looked for if believing someone to be inflicted with it such as painful or swollen joints that are warm to touch.
