How Loud Is This Amplified Telephone?
The AmpliDECT 295 Telephone has a fully adjustable volume from a normal receiver to an extra loud 30dB, which is approximately three times louder than a standard telephone. Moreover the ringing volume is adjustable on both the handset and the base. The ringer on the handset can be turned up to 75dB, while the base can be as loud as 80dB.
How Easy to Use Is the AmpliDECT 295?
The Geemarc Amplidect 295 Telephone is designed for users who might find it difficult to remember to press a button whenever they pick the phone up from the cradle. This is why the Amplidect 295 comes with the option to set the handset to "auto answer", in which case you can answer a call by simply picking the phone up from the charging cradle or the base station.
If the handset is not on the charging cradle, however, you need to press either the green button or the speaker button to answer a call. Pressing the button twice activates the speakerphone.
Can I Set A Distinct Ring for Each Caller?
Yes, you can set a different ring for each caller in your phonebook, allowing the user to easily identify the caller from the ring alone. Each AmpliDECT 295 handset features five standard rings and five polyphonic rings, while the base itself features five standard rings. This provides plenty of room for customisation to ensure important numbers can have a distinct ring.
Is the Screen Backlit?
Yes, the screen of the AmpliDECT 295 is backlit. The white backlight makes it easier to see for individuals with visual impairments.
Does This Phone Feature Caller ID?
Yes, this phone can display Caller ID, providing it is supplied in your current package by your service provider. It will store the last 50 numbers, allowing you to scroll back through your last calls for reference.
Can I Connect This Phone to My Internet Modem?

How Easy to Set Up Is This Amplified Telephone?
To set up the AmpliDECT 295 Amplified Telephone, you first need to connect the corded base station. To do so, you need to connect the power adaptor into the mains, and the telephone line cord into a telephone jack or a DSL filter.

Then, install and charge the handset battery. Once you've inserted the rechargeable battery (included), charge the handset by placing it face forward in the charger.

Yes, you can set the handset to silent mode. To do so, press and hold the # key, which will turn the ringer off. When the phone is in silent mode, press and hold the same key to turn the ringer back on.
