Dark Scorched Chestnut Hiking Staff

Beautifully coloured with a decorative carved spiral design, this Dark Scorched Chestnut Hiking Staff is not only pleasant to the eye, but extremely practical and reliable as well. It is grown from sturdy, durable coppiced chestnut wood and features an innovative combi ferrule, a spiked ferrule for use on soft ground with a neat rubber ferrule to fit over when walking on hard surfaces, as well as a practical leather wrist strap.

Hiking Staff

The staff is a simple, upright handle on a long stick, usually fitted with a wrist strap and most often used for hiking. The user grasps it with their palm and fingers wrapped firmly around the staff.

Chestnut Wood

This walking stick is grown from coppiced chestnut wood, as chestnut is one of the trees that responds very well to this method, which is still commonly practised in Great Britain. This type of wood is known for its strength and durability, making it the ideal material for walking sticks.

Combi Ferrule

I had bought one a couple of years ago and now I was down with a back problem, so I bought another one so I can walk. They are very steady and sturdy and I prefer them to Nordic Walking Staffs and all other walking sticks. I use racket tape to get a good grip on the handles.
