What Are PIP and DIP Joints?

  • Trigger finger
  • Hypermobility (Ehler-Danlos syndrome)
  • PIP joint flexion contractures
  • DIP joint flexion contractures
  • Boutonniere's deformity

How Does the Double Armchair Finger Support Work?

By maintaining assisted extension at the PIP joint the Double Armchair Finger Splint allows active flexion and can be used for soft tissue injury affecting the PIP joint with a possible flexion deformity. The coil spring used in the Double Armchair Finger Splint provides resistance for extra support and faster recovery.

Features of the Double Armchair Finger Splint

  • Can be used on the index/middle fingers or the middle/ring fingers
  • The dynamic spring supports the PIP joint, leaving the DIP free to flex
  • Suitable for PIP and DIP related injuries
  • Available in a variety of sizes to suit the majority of users
  • Ideal for use as a progressive splint after intensive use of a single splint

What Are the Advantages of an Armchair Splint?

The slim and lightweight design means that these splints are comfortable to wear and don't interfere with day-to-day tasks. The foam padded circular springs are an innovative and highly effective way of providing the correct amount of flexion to the fingers

Triggering fingers

Very arthritic fingers and now triggering of 3rd and 4th fingers. This splint looks rudimentary but is ideal and prevents painful triggering whilst I wait for further treatment. Thank you.
