How Do I Use the Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheet?

To use the Tubular Slide Sheet, you should position the patient centrally and transfer the patient by rolling the tube. It is important to follow your local hospital patient handling guidelines, which are normally available from the Health and Safety department. 

Please note that Transtex Tubular Slide Sheet is not intended for lifting. All patient repositioning manoeuvres should be accomplished without lifting.

Low Friction Transtex Material

Ensuring that patients are comfortable during repositioning, the Cromptons Slide Sheet features Transtex fabric, which reduces friction. Allowing you to reuse the patient Slide Sheet, Transtex can be laundered using standard hospital guidelines HSG(95)18.

Maintenance of the Cromptons Reusable Sheet

Although the Transtex Tubular Slide Sheet has a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce the weight capacity. It is advised that you always inspect your sheet prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation. 

Laundering Instructions 

To clean the Transtex Slide Sheet, please follow standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG(95)18. Bleaching agents should be avoided and the maximum recommended washing temperature is 80°C. To dry, drip drying is recommended, although low temperature tumble dry may be used if necessary.
